PRIYA NANDA

Ms. Priya Nanda is the Director of Education, Shiv Nadar School.

Priya joined Shiv Nadar School Gurgaon as Head - Primary Years in 2018, bringing with her a wealth of academic accomplishments and over 20 years of leadership experience in the UK. She holds three degrees and has also achieved the two highest qualifications of school leadership in the UK: a Level 7 qualification in National Professional Headship (NPQH) and a Level 8 qualification in National Professional Executive Leadership (NPQEL).

After two years as Head of Primary in Gurgaon, she transitioned as the Executive Head of Early & Primary Years. In this capacity, she worked closely with leadership in Early and Primary Years across all campuses to develop the quality of teaching and learning to achieve the best outcomes for children. Together the leadership has built a cohesive team embracing the Shiv Nadar School ethos in all aspects of learning.

An experienced Leadership Coach and Mentor, she holds accreditation from the Department for Education (DFE) in the UK. She is recognised under the prestigious 'Golden Thread' initiative, for her expertise in supporting UK principals, executive heads, and heads in their professional roles and has regularly mentored and coached leaders in the UK undertaking NPQSL, NPQEL and NPQH qualifications.

She is also a qualified Program Leader for Cambridge PDQs in Teaching, Learning & Educational Leadership. She has been a part of developing the PDQ program in Shiv Nadar School and trained over 70 educators and leaders who have since passed the Cambridge assessment to achieve a Cambridge accreditation. Priya has also been a trustee for a chain of schools in the UK. In this capacity, she shared her extensive expertise in data analysis, curriculum development, and benchmarking, actively supporting the Senior Leadership Team in their professional growth and improvement of student outcomes.

Outside of her working commitments, Priya enjoys gardening and reading. She also volunteers her time to support various charities like 'The Vishaal Foundation' and 'Paws'
