Job Description for Alumni Engagement Manager at Shiv Nadar Foundation
The Shiv Nadar Foundation seeks to appoint a high-energy, hands-on manager who can be a part of the Sustainability team at the Shiv Nadar Foundation. The job would entail a high level of interaction with alumni, mostly from a leadership academy, VidyaGyan, meant for high-achieving students from rural backgrounds. It is important to have someone who has engaged with the youth community or student body in the past. A person who has worked with or understands rural students and knows how to holistically develop their profiles to be real-world and job-ready.
A candidate who has an innovative bent of mind with offline and online engagements. Has a keen interest in traveling and building strong bonds with the alumni, mostly across India and a few living abroad. The person will also be managing the ERP scholarship portal for the students.
A confident and smart person who has a creative style of work and very good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Regular updates to the alumni database
- Creative way of collecting alumni information
- Day-to-day maintenance of the scholarship ERP
- Strategy to build the bond from school level to while alumni are working: alumni lifelong strength
- Online engagements based on alumni requirements (social media campaigns, workshops, etc.).
- Alumni meet: annual and regional chapters
- Support and guide alumni with internships, mentorships, and placements.
- Develop programs for the students based on their unique requirements for life skills development and job readiness.
Educational Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a postgraduate degree holder, preferably an MBA from a recognized institution.
Work Experience & Additional Attributes
- Approximately 5 years of work experience with students, youth, alumni, or similar profiles
- Good communication skills
- Understands various social media platforms
- Proven management and strong leadership skills
- Experience working with senior-level executives and in the field
- Innovative and creative style of developing presentations and documentation
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Keen attention to details
- High energy, a positive “can-do” attitude”, flexibility, and a high degree of intuitiveness
- Strong verbal communication skills and the demonstrative ability to write clearly and persuasively
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets, prepare financial reports, and matrix
The successful applicant will work well in multi-cultural teams with diverse backgrounds. They should work well under pressure and be able to multitask. They should, ideally, have a good sense of humor. Flexibility in travel is a must. The person will report to a senior management team member.
