S. K. Maheshwari

Project Director and Chief Admission Officer, VidyaGyan. S.K. Maheshwari retired from the Public Service as a regulatory, Social Welfare, and Developmental Civil Servant after a distinguished career spanning 34 years of service. After various stints as Sub Divisional Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, and Chief Development Officer in different districts of Uttar Pradesh in addition to being District Magistrate of Champawat, Uttar Kashi, and Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand, S.K. Maheshwari was awarded the international license for “Training of Trainers” by Thames Valley University, London, in 1992. He was appointed Joint Director (Training) at the prestigious U.P. Academy of Administration, Nainital. As additional Director, Social Welfare, he provided successful leadership for various social welfare activities in Uttarakhand. He remained Additional Secretary, Secondary Education and Higher Education, to the Government of Uttarakhand before elevation to the posts of Secretary, School Education, and Director, School Education to the Government of Uttarakhand. He has been associated with the VidyaGyan Leadership Academy for approximately 14 years. Mr. Maheshwari has been instrumental in creating the VidyaGyan admission selection process, which, in magnitude and scale, is the largest admission process at the school level in the country, encompassing public and private partnerships. Mr. Maheshwari has played a pivotal role in the digitization of the examination format. Through fruitful interactions with the state administration and educational institutions, Mr. Maheshwari has successfully nurtured a spirit of healthy competition amongst talented rural students competing for admission in coveted VidyaGyan schools.
